My Approach
No matter what confusion or difficulty you are facing right now, I believe you are at the helm of your own life, and that you have both the right and the ability to define it — because I believe we all have an instinct to grow upward. In our journey of growth, understanding and acceptance are a vital source of strength, from within ourselves and from others. As a therapist, my role is to accompany and support you in your journey of self-exploration, helping you understand "who you are" and "who you want to become" — as an individual, a partner, a parent, or a child. Along the way, I don't simply listen — I ask questions, share what I notice, and invite you to try new ways of seeing yourself and relating to the people in your life.
I bring curiosity and authenticity in my work. I hope to meet you as my fully authentic self, seeking to understand who you are and what you experience — not in isolation, but within the relationships and systems that shape you — and all you carry, the painful and the joyful alike. I draw on this trust and collaboration to support you in exploring yourself to support you in exploring yourself — deeply and continuously — bringing growth again and again.
How it is like working with me
I listen closely — to your words, your pauses, and the stories you circle back to. My first priority is to make our time together safe enough for honesty, especially the kind that's hardest to say out loud. I check in with you on a regular basis , to ensure my understanding of you is accurate.
I am a systemic thinker. With your permission, I may invite you to tell me about your early life, your family, and your relationships — I believe we are, to some extent, shaped by what we've experienced — and I welcome whatever additional details you feel moved to share. Throughout our work together, I stay with you where you are, while also inviting you to explore new territory in your thoughts and emotions, or to go deeper into places you may have hesitated to explore.
For couples and families, I focus on understanding your interactions and each person's emotional experience. Besides talking with each of you individually, I guide conversations between you. In the process, I hope not just to promote understanding between you, but also help you change the dynamic itself — the pattern that keeps pulling you back to the same place, and facilitate the personal growth of each person in the relationship。
For parents, I meet your struggles with compassion. I share my understanding and ask for your feedback. I invite you to see your relationships as part of a larger system, and I share my perspective as a professional.
